Laser Cyst Removal

COâ‚‚ laser can be used to treat certain types of small, superficial skin cysts. It offers a precise and minimally invasive method of removal, often with good cosmetic results.

Cysts are closed sacs under the skin that are typically filled with keratin, fluid, or other material. Common examples include epidermoid cysts and small sebaceous cysts. They are usually benign and may appear as smooth, round bumps beneath the skin.

With COâ‚‚ laser treatment, the energy from the laser is absorbed by water in the skin cells, allowing the clinician to create a small, precise opening over the cyst. The contents of the cyst can then be drained, and in many cases the cyst wall can be carefully treated or removed to reduce the chance of recurrence.
